The Northwestern Lehigh Veterans Memorial Hometown Heroes Banner Program is a tribute created to honor and recognize the brave men and women of the Northwestern Lehigh School District who are serving, or have honorably served, in the United States Armed Services
Eligibility: Any U.S. Veteran who served before, during, or after their residence in any of the four NW Lehigh School District townships of Lynn, Lowhill, Heidelberg or Weisenberg is eligible. U.S. Veterans buried in a cemetery located within one of the 4 townships, even though never a living resident, are also eligible
The banners measure 30″x 60″, are made of heavy vinyl, and are printed on both sides with the service member’s photograph, full name, military branch, and era of service and/or Military Medals. The banners will be proudly displayed in the township of your choice. The banners are warranted for two years and have an approximate life expectancy of four to five years. After the third year of display, the sponsor will be contacted to see if they would like to take possession of the banner, or have it displayed for an additional year, or until the banner gets too faded to be respectfully displayed.
Description
To sponsor a banner, the following are required:
- A completed NWLVM Hometown Heroes Application Form (available on our website at ‘nwlehighvetsmemorial.org’ – or by using your smart phone to access the “QR Code” to the right)
- A digital photo of the Hero in uniform or paper copy (photos will not be returned)
- Provide your name, phone number, email address, and township where you would like the banner displayed
- Payment of $250.00
After submittal, a Veteran representative from your township will contact you to approve the ‘draft’ banner before it is printed.
